"A fly in the sky."

In-game Description[]

The Dover is the original super fast Corvette. A light scouting vessel that gives your fleet a decisive edge on the battlefield, it has been designed to deliver a pinpoint solution for battlefield situations calling for speed and maneuverability. It is the first line of response in forward-presence and power-projection missions.

Lore[]

The Dover is the fastest ship in the Solar System—and the hardest to hit. Its blistering speed and quick-firing guns make it perfect for in-and-out strikes against minimally armored targets.

Originally called 127.x4p, the Dover got its more memorable name during the Great Solar War. Nearly beat into a pile of scrap at the Battle of Venus, it was miraculously repaired by engineers on Sinley Bay.

Overview[]

The Dover is the first Corvette players can obtain, and is the only Corvette usable in the Recruit tier matches. Serving as an introduction to the class, it lets players get a taste of this style of play. Corvettes are quick and nimble ships, lacking a large health pool but featuring high maneuverability and speed.

This is the fastest ship offered in its tier, and is easily the most deadly if used right. High speeds lets skillful captains enter and exit a fight at well, with forward mounted autocannons good for dog-fighting style engagements. A powerful Thrust Amplifier lets the Dover move with speed, and an emergency Afterburner lets the ship flee when necessary. A Heavy Torpedo lets the Corvette decimate any unarmored ship such as enemy Artillery or Tactical Cruisers. Secondary beam turrets offer near full coverage around the ship, and for a limited time captains can engage their shields for 100% damage absorption.

Disadvantages: As stated above, the health pool of the Dover is very small. As such, a skillful shot from an enemy Artillery Cruiser may destroy the ship completely. It's primary weapon, though powerful, feature a low clip and are forward mounted to the hull. As such, the Dover can only fire it's Autocannons forwards.
